(Rice: Water Ratio is 1:1.5 – So 3 cups of Water)
Tamarind – 100 grams Mixed with water to make Concentrate
For Masala Powder

Chana Dal – 2 tsp
Red Chilis – 5
Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
Coriander Seeds – 1 tsp
Fenugreek Seeds – ½ tsp
Dry Coconut Powder – 2 tsp
Sesame Seeds – 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds – 2 tsp
For Tamarind Rice

Oil – 3 Tablespoons
Groundnuts – ½ Cup
Cashews – 20
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Chana Dal – 4 tsp
Urad Dal – 2 tsp
Green Chillies- 6
Curry Leaves – 15
Red Chillies – 6
Jaggery – 1 or 2 tsp
Turmeric – 1 tsp
Salt – As Needed
Hing/ Asafoetida – ½ tsp
Grinded Masala Powder – Above
Tamarind Concentrate – Above
